R. Scott Wood, Risk Management Consultant

R. Scott Wood is a Risk Management Consultant with the Association of California Water Agencies / Joint Powers Insurance Authority (JPIA). Scott has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resources and Sciences from University of California, Davis. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Registered Environmental Assessor I (REA I). Prior to coming to work for the JPIA, Scott worked as an environmental consultant performing environmental due diligence audits and managing hazardous material remediation operations for various Federal agencies throughout the western United States and Hawaii. Scott advocates an informational and entertaining approach to safety and training. His passion for safety and training evolves from his hobby of refereeing Rugby, which stresses the ideals of Safe-Fair-Fun.
