Registration for Fall JPIA Training Conference in Southern CA Now Open  

Mark your calendar for the upcoming JPIA Training Conference, set to take place on October 12-13, 2023, in Los Angeles, CA! This two-day event promises to provide valuable insights into human resources and risk management for the water industry through in-person instruction over two days, taught by skilled JPIA Instructors.  

New Location  

This year’s conference will be held at the state-of-the-art Albert Robles Center for Water Recycling & Environmental Learning (ARC). ARC is a versatile site, run by Water Replenishment District (WRD), a valued JPIA member. It demonstrates WRD’s commitment to its community with an Advanced Water Treatment Facility, a digital Learning Center, and a water-efficient Demonstration Garden. This innovative education center and water recycling facility provide the perfect backdrop for a dynamic and informative event. 

Registration and Course Selection

During the registration process, participants will have the opportunity to pre-select four courses from a diverse array of classes which meet requirements for the JPIA Professional Development Program (PDP) Operations, Supervisor Basics and Human Resources specialties, such as performance management, hiring practices, ergonomics, fall protection, hazard communication, accident investigation, and more.  

Early registration is recommended due to limited availability. JPIA members enjoy priority registration access.

Fees and Inclusions 

The conference registration fee is $115 for a single day (Thursday or Friday) or $225 for both days. This fee includes a deluxe continental breakfast, buffet lunch, course instruction, and course materials for up to four JPIA Training courses for those attending both days. Additionally, attendees will be pleased to know that parking at the ARC facility is complimentary. 

Payment can be conveniently made online using credit cards, or checks can be mailed to:

To ensure your seat is secured, please submit payment by September 30, 2023. Failure to meet this deadline may result in the cancellation of your reservation. 

Cancellation Policy

In the event that circumstances prevent attendance, the conference organizers have a clear and fair cancellation policy. For cancellations made by September 30, 2023, the full registration amount can be refunded. However, after this date, participants are encouraged to seek replacements from their agencies to avoid forfeiture of the registration fee.

Preferred Hotel Provider 

JPIA has negotiated a discounted rate room block for our JPIA members for the nights of October 11 and October 12 at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn Los Angeles Montebello. It is approximately 5 miles from the hotel to the WRD Albert Robles Education Center. Transportation to the training facility is not included. 

To receive the discounted rate of $175 per night (plus tax/fees), be sure to make your room reservation by September 15, 2023. Please note that this price is not guaranteed – once the limited block of rooms is sold, this price is gone!
