The JPIA’s Property Program is a highly cost-effective method for members to protect their physical assets, such as buildings and infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment. Like the Liability Program, the Property Program’s Memorandum of Coverage eliminates the need for multiple and often conflicting or redundant commercial policies.

The JPIA’s Liability Program is designed specifically for public water agencies. It provides protection to members against liability for bodily injury, property damage, errors and omissions, employment practices, fiduciary responsibilities, products, and pollution. The program provides pooled, reinsurance and excess coverage of up to $55 million for its members.

Other Liability Resources:
A water agency’s employees are its most valuable asset. Injuries and lost time have hidden costs, such as the loss of productivity and lowered morale. The critical components of a successful workers’ compensation program include effective loss prevention programs and claims handling.
The Special Events Program was established to provide members with a method for transferring risk to individuals or groups using public facilities for events such as weddings, athletic events, fairs or parades. The program provides up to $5 million per occurrence limits and includes coverage for both public and private events. Coverage options include: athletic participants, instructors and volunteers, vendors, exhibitors, concessionaires and liquor liability. It is a cost effective program and often less than a member’s RAP.
